The Engineering Department for the City of Elizabethtown is dedicated to planning, designing, and managing the infrastructure that supports our growing community. From roadway and drainage improvements to utility coordination and major capital projects, the department ensures public improvements are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with established standards.
Working collaboratively with developers, contractors, and other City departments, the Engineering team plays a vital role in guiding responsible growth while enhancing safety, functionality, and quality of life throughout the community.
There are several types of easements including utility, drainage and sidewalk. The City will not allow permanent structures to be built in an existing easement. To find out where the easements are located file an Open Records Request Form with the City Clerk, who is located on the third floor of City Hall.
