Elizabethtown Nature Park

1900 Ring Road East
Elizabethtown, KY 42701
The Elizabethtown Nature Park has 104-acres of gently rolling former pasture land. Freeman Creek meanders through the park as it flows to the City's largest lake, Freeman Lake. The Nature Park has been set aside as a passive park, where residents can enjoy the natural beauty of our community. A tunnel, connecting the Nature Park and the north end of Freeman Lake Park, was constructed underneath Ring Road. The park also houses a pavilion and walking trail, which ties into the Freeman Lake Park trail system.
Hardin County Veterans Tribute
The Elizabethtown Nature Park is also home to the Hardin County Veterans Tribute, a star formation with granite monoliths and bronze sculptures honoring all five branches of the military and civil service.
For more information on the Veterans Tribute visit www.vettribute.org
You can show support of our brave military and our dedicated civil service workers by purchasing an engraved brick or paver, which will be placed beside the bronze plague that welcomes visitors to the Tribute. The bricks or pavers can honor:
- A Distinguished Member or Our Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force or Coast Guard
- A Respected Civil Servant
- A Beloved Family Member
- The Memory of a Loved One
